Our Story
Bella Vista is a 4* Hotel Apartments located in Old Hersonissos, one of the most beautiful and traditional villages in Crete, an island where the sun shines 300 days per year!
A family business, operating with great success for more than 30 years providing full service and renovated, modern facilities.
Bella Vista has been established in 1994 and has continually operating since then. It has been totally renovated 3 times, but it is also renewed and recruited every year. Last total renovation took place in 2026 and Bella Vista nowadays offers among others, freshly decorated, modern apartments, new restaurant area, pool bar, lobby and reception, a swimming pool with a wooden deck, energy-friendly led electricity infrastructure, new ecological water heating system and free Wi-Fi all around hotel areas and rooms.
It is worth mentioning that last years, Bella Vista’s restaurant menu is oriented in traditional Cretan cuisine with local ingredients in breakfast and other dishes and tasteful recipes! Taste Cretan delicacies and cuisine, savoring pure Cretan products throughout the entire day.
Our Purpose
Our goal is to make Bella Vista the ideal choice for holidays, not only for nature and sea lovers, but also for those who love swimming, scuba diving, hiking, climbing, biking, trekking, fishing, horse riding and golf!

Pool Bar and Restaurant
At our Bar Restaurant, with the casual atmosphere, you can relax with your favorite drink, enjoy your lunch or end your day with a nice dinner, accompanied by soft background music at candlelit tables. The restaurant is opened early in the morning for breakfast at 08:00 and remains open until midnight offering a variety of snacks, drinks, cocktails and local Cretan wines.
You can enjoy your lunch or dinner at any time. Bella Vista’s restaurant menu is oriented in traditional Cretan cuisine with local ingredients in breakfast and other dishes and tasteful recipes!

The square of the village with a fountain in the middle, which was declared ‘the most beautiful square on Crete’, is a well-preserved and admirable place, where the traditional taverns, cafes and all sorts of shops offer their services.
If you are willing to go a little further, traditional villages of Koutouloufari and Piskopiano lie in walking distance from Bella Vista. Both of the villages offer a great variety of traditional taverns, restaurants and bars, some of them with a roof garden and great view.
